UG: Sports Council Secretary attributes low participation of games to lack of sensitization

- -

Newly appointed General Secretary of the Student Sports Council at the University of Ghana Ahmed Somed Yussif  has attributed the low of participation of Inter Hall games to lack of sensitization.

Over the years, sporting activities on campus has recorded  a low turnout in their activities for which Ahmed Yussif has believes enough information about the games are not provided for students.

If you observe critically, during inter-halls or sporting competitions in the school, you go to various participation fields and you see the number there isn’t encouraging.

We have about 15 halls here on campus but we can only mention 4 halls who participate during interhalls.  Ahmed complained

Ahmed Yussif believes that with his fellow council members the dissemination of information  will serve as remedy in the coming years.

My colleagues and I met and we decided that the proper dissemination of information about the activities should be done so we decided to move around during lectures to tell students about the sporting activities and inter hall activities.
