Ridge City Football Club Women (RCFCW) has announced that it will begin its pre-season campaign on Friday, December 17, 2021, when they come up against Epiphany Warriors FC.
The kickoff is 10:00 GMT at the Madina AstroTurf Park.
Friday’s friendly against Epiphany Warriors is the first of a series of other games being planned by our technical team to step up preparations ahead of the start of the 2021/2022 season of the Greater Accra Regional FA Women Division One League.
The club indicated that other fixtures are being planned for the pre-season campaign and will be announced when confirmed.
Ridge City’s coach, Louis Ano-Ampofo, says that the games are being planned to test the fitness of the squad as well as see the ladies put into practice some tactics learnt during training.
“We’ve been back (for preseason) for a little over a month working on our conditioning and this game is the first to test our match fitness as well as a chance to integrate the few new faces we have in the squad. Pre-season is to prepare entirely for the season ahead and this is a major step to see where we are in terms of fitness,” he told the club media.
The club says that updates of the game will be made available on all of its social media platforms.
