NDC’s free tertiary promise is a scam – NPP’s Nana B

The National Youth Organizer of the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye has described the main opposition party’s free tertiary promise as a scam and propaganda to deceive the voters.

The John Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) on December 1, 2020, in a release sighted by Georgeweb.org indicated their flagbearer when elected as the President will absorb all fees for 2020/21 tertiary students.

NDC said the Fa Ninyinaa policy which seeks to absorb all fees of the first batch of Free SHS graduates will work along with the Kyemupe policy where continuing students will pay half of their fees and rest absorbed by John Mahama.

But, the leading member of the ruling government yesterday at a press conference condemned the effort of the opposition party to lessen the burden of parents saying “the free tertiary education promise is a scam”

“Mr Mahama said it doesn’t make sense to invest Ghc2 billion in Free SHS, so how can he possess the political will whatsoever to invest over Ghc2.5 billion in paying fees for all tertiary students”, Nana B stressed.
