How would you rate the average level of literacy among your students? – Teacher Tapp

Nearly 70% of teachers across Ghana in a poll conducted by Teacher Tapp, the Ghana Education Service (GES) approved teacher survey app reported that their students have a ‘Good’ level of literacy.
You’ll bear with us that majority of teachers in Ghana are putting much effort in teaching to help the prospective students in classrooms, Even though literacy is not only a requirement for academic achievement but is also related to various health and quality of life outcomes.
As such, it is good news that so many students are classed as having ‘Good’ literacy. The remaining 30% however said otherwise.

Teacher Tapp is conducting another poll on behalf of the Ghana Education Service (GES), remember that the Ghana Education Service under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MoE) launched Teacher Tapp to improve teaching in Ghana.
The next question is how to get more students up to the level of ‘Excellent’ or, ideally, ‘Fluent’. What strategies can be used to boost student literacy up to this level?
