The Deputy Executive Director of the NSS, Henry Nana Boakye has called on Ghanaian parents to be wary of NDC’s promise to better the Free SHS programme because they will only take the future of their wards away.
The leading member of the (NPP) comments follows a promise made by the opposition National Democratic Congress indicating John Mahama in his next administration will include private schools to the Free SHS programme
The running mate for the NDC’s flag bearer, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang speaking at her party’s manifesto launch announced the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will as part of an effort to better the Free SHS include private Senior High Schools to the programme.
But, the National Youth Organizer for President Akufo-Addo’s NPP party has said the NDC will only take away the future of the children should they be voted into power.
According to Nana B, the Free SHS is improving lives, transforming societies and empowering the youth in the country, he in a social media post sighted by Georgeweb.org added that “Let’s protect our progress by giving the NPP 4MoreToDoMore for our youth… Don’t let NDC take your child’s future away”.
Meanwhile, the Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said the former President and flag bearer for NDC, Mr John Dramani Mahama can not be trusted with the Free SHS, hence he should be rejected during the elections.
