Blessed Godsbrain Smart, also known as Captain Smart, an outspoken media personality, has called for the study of religious education, also known as R.M.E, by students in schools to be abolished by Ghana’s Education Ministries.
According to the host of Angel 102.9 FM’s Morning Show, Ghanaian students’ studies of religious education in schools have yielded no positive results over the years, necessitating its removal.
“We have to abolish religious education from our educational curriculum. It has not helped us in any way over the years. Because it is obviously eroding the thinking abilities of our kids”, the controversial media personality said.
Captain said even though religion is good but not for the development of the mental toughness and psychological development of kids in the country.
“Religious education has been part of our curriculum for years. So it is an important topic for deliberations as to how to consider or restructure our education for the betterment of developing our children,” he stated.
