Candidates who sat for the 2020 edition of the BECE for School Candidates can now check their WAEC BECE result without using the internet or a result scratch card, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has said.
This method of checking the WAEC BECE result is an alternative to using a computer connected to the internet which sometimes delays the process and the scratch card which is expensive and only available at some places.
WAEC in a blog post on its website sighted by Georgeweb.org indicated it is possible for individuals to purchase results checker PIN and check WAEC BECE results via SMS using Mobile Money Platforms (MTN, AirtelTigo, Vodafone).
The check the 2020 WAEC BECE result or buy the results checker PIN, dial *944# on a mobile phone and follow the instructions carefully on your mobile screen.
Depending on the options you choose, you will receive either a text message of the purchased result checker PIN or text message of your WAEC results.

According to the non-profit-making organization, the cost of each results checker PIN is GHS 10 and the cost of an SMS text of results is GHS 6.
