SUTESCO student quarantined over coronavirus

The management of the Suhum Technical Senior High School (SUTESCO) has reportedly quarantined a male student at Suhum Government Hospital after being suspected of COVID-19.
Following suspected cases of the virus, four students were rushed to the hospital showing symptoms similar to COVID-19, but three students tested negative while the remaining one whose temperature was rising was admitted after being suspected to be positive of the disease.
The Municipal Director of Education, Esther Quaye- Sowah who confirmed the case to the Daily Guard Network said the sample of the student has been sent to Accra and awaiting results.
“We can’t confirm if it’s negative or positive, we are waiting for the outcome. His symptoms show he might be infected with the coronavirus, he has been quarantined at the hospital at the moment” she explained.
According to the Municipal Director of Education, two students of the Islamic Girls Senior High School also showed the symptoms and were rushed to the hospital but later tested negative.
Esther Quaye- Sowah noted that even though fear has gripped the students but she gave assurance that the situation was under control.

Currently, the Suhum Technical Senior High School (SUTESCO) has recorded seven COVID-19 cases as four persons have recovered.
