Following the June 22 SHS reopening, surge, and increase in coronavirus cases and deaths, the Information Minister, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has disclosed His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo will later tonight address the citizenry.

The President of the Republic will update the nation on measures being put in place ahead of the June 22 school reopening for final year students in the country towards the increase in coronavirus cases and deaths.

The government spokesperson announced this on Twitter Sunday. This will be President Akufo-Addo’s 12th televised nation’s address to the country since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus which has at least claimed 85 lives.

Akufo-Addo first addressed the nation on Sunday, March 15 after the country recorded its first coronavirus case on March 12 this year.
