Postings of about 86,478 eligible graduates from accredited tertiary institutions and private registrants who enrolled for the 2020/2021 national service to be posted into various agencies in Ghana have been released.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) in an earlier statement copied to Georgeweb.org indicated it will at the end of the month August release the postings for the 2020/2021 service year despite claims that the Scheme has postponed the 2020/2021 national service to a later date.
The Scheme following the release of postings request all personnel to visit its website nss.gov.gh to check their placement and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.
According to NSS, registration and validation of service personnel would begin from Thursday, September 3, 2020, at all centres across the country but National Service personnel are also to note that the service period officially starts on Monday, September 7, 2020.
Amid the temporal closure of schools due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the management of the National Service Scheme entreats personnel who have been deployed to educational institutions to hold on with registration and validation until school officially reopens in 2021.
The Scheme further entreats all personnel to posted to accept their placements as it will under no circumstances changes place of service adding that it should be considered as part of contributions towards the socio-economic development of the nation
