The first contest at the Semifinal stage of the competition featured Chemu SHS, PRESEC-Legon and St. Peter’s SHS. It looked like a keen contest as Peter’s were hoping for a win against PRESEC to draw the head to head between the 2 schools in their favor but unfortunately it wasn’t so for them. PRESEC – legon begun the round ain’t a very good note acquiring a 12pts gap between themselves and the second placed school, St Peter’s. After the first round though, there was bad news for PRESEC-LEGON as their star man, Henry Mawunya Otumfuo was in some discomfort and had to be forced out of the contest. He was then replaced by Joel Aboagye who took on the mandate very well and didn’t drift apart from the mission at all. He helped the team to stretch the lead to a 16pts gap in the Speed Race Round.
An unimpressive 3rd Round saw both Peter’s and PRESEC with 0/10 for their solutions with Chemu making 2/10. The Round 4 saw Peter’s making an 8/8 of the questions but still not enough to get them the win as PRESEC grabbed 7/8.
The last round saw PRESEC pick up 2 of the 4 riddles with both Chemu and Peter’s picking one each of the other 2. PRESEC finished with 50pts
Congrats to PRESEC – Legon as they make a 3rd consecutive Finals appearance! Better luck to the other schools.
