The Ministry of Education has engaged the waste management giant, Zoomlion Ghana Limited to as a matter of urgency disinfect all Universities, Colleges of Education and Nursing Training Colleges, SHSs, JHSs, and Basic schools before school reopens on June 15, 2020.
The Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh in his last press briefing assured that all schools throughout the country will be disinfected before the reopening of schools for final year students to continue academic works on June 15, 2020.
This is also in line with the President’s recent announcement for all schools to be disinfected before reopening.
In fulfillment of the Ministry’s promise, the Zoomlion Ghana Limited today Wednesday, June 10 commenced the exercise after the launch at the University of Ghana, Legon.
The nationwide disinfection exercise will cover all Universities, Colleges of Education and Nursing Training Colleges, SHSs, JHSs, and Basic schools.
Present at the launch were Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and senior officials of the University, Directors of the Ministry of Education, and the CEO of Zoomlion Ltd, among others.
