Govt declares July 31 public holiday to mark Eid-Al-Adha

The Ministry of Interior under the auspices of the Government of Ghana (GoG) has declared Friday, July 31, 2020, which marks Eid-Al-Adha, as a statutory public holiday.

The Ministry entreats the citizenry to observe the holiday as such while adhering to the COVID-19 preventive protocols, especially in relations to social events at public places.

The announcement follows confirmation by the moonsighting committees formed to determine the beginning of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
