Gov’t declares August 4 holiday to mark Founders’ Day

The Interior Ministry under the auspices of the Government of Ghana (GoG) has declared Tuesday, August 4, 2020, which marks Founders’ Day as a statutory Public Holiday.

The Ministry consequently entreats the general public to observe Tuesday, August 4, 2020 as a holiday throughout the country.

Meanwhile, prospective candidates in Senior High Schools today August 3, 2020, officially begun the 2020 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSE) with Integrated Science Paper 1 & 2.

The general public is advised to strictly adhere to the necessary COVID-19 preventive protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and other Health experts to slow the spread of the locally transmitted coronavirus.
