Former President Jerry John Rawlings dies aged 73

The former commander in chief of Ghana’s Armed Forces, Mr Jerry John Rawlings has been pronounced dead at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after battling a short illness, television and radio stations have announced.
Media reports gathered by Georgeweb.org indicate the country’s former President passed on today, Thursday, November 12, 2020.

Jerry John Rawlings was born in Accra on 22nd June 1947, to a Ghanaian mother from Dzelukope, near Keta, in the Volta Region, and a Scottish father.
He died age 73.
