Gov’t declares September 21 holiday (Kwame Nkrumah Memorial day)

The Ministry of Interior (MINT) under the auspices of the Government of Ghana (GoG) has declared Monday, September 21, 2020, as a public holiday to celebrate Ghana’s first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
The Ministry in a press release said “the general public is hereby reminded that Monday, September 21, 2020, which marks Kwame Nkrumah Memorial day is a Statutory Public Holiday should be observed as such nationwide”

Members of the general public are advised to observe the necessary outlined coronavirus safety protocols, especially in relation to social events at public places.
