Education Minister discharged from hospital after positive COVID-19 test

The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency, Hon Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has been discharged from the hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19 that has claimed at least 129 lives of July 7, 2020.
The media spokesperson for the Education Minister in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org said Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) but has since been discharged.
The spokesperson, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng explained in the statement that, NAPO was discharged from the UGMC “with a positive rapid antibody test result and will be further monitored,”

According to Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng, “NAPO is currently at home resting and would like to thank all those who wished him well during his time in hospital”
