The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo will today October 18, 2020, address Ghana for the 18th time on measures put in place by the central government to curb COVID-19, Jubilee House has announced.
His Excellency Akufo-Addo in one of his televised nation’s address indicated schools would reopen for learners in Kindergarten, primary and first year Junior and Senior High School next year January 2021.
Meanwhile, second-year students in Junior High School (JHSs) and Senior High Schools (SHSs) are in school to complete the 2019/2020 academic year and vacate on December 14, 2020, respectively.
According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the country has recorded 47,323 coronavirus cases with 46,578 recoveries and 310 sudden deaths. The nation’s new cases are 33 with 344 active cases.
