Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party and current President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to be of good character after the Electoral Commission announces who the next President will be until 2024.
“When you win an election, you don’t need to be aggressive. Be of good character and wait for the Electoral Commission to declare. And when you jubilate, be moderate and sensitive to public order and safety”, Akufo-Addo stated in social media post sighted by Georgeweb.org.
The Commission is expected to any moment from today Wednesday, December 9, 2020, declare the winner of the 2020 general election which commenced on Monday, December 7, 2020, across the country.
It earlier announced to declare the Presidential results 24 hours after the conduct of the election but amid delays in the collation of results at some polling centres it announced the winner Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
