UPSA 2020 graduation ceremonies to be held on campus
The Management of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) following President Akufo-Addo’s ease in restrictions on the numbers of the persons who can attend award events has announced to hold the 2020 graduation on campus for all graduands on September, 2020.
His Excellency Akufo-Addo in his 15th televised nation’s address on Sunday August 16, 2020 monitored by Georgeweb.org said unlimited number of persons can attend award events but subject to maintenance of physical distancing, fresh air ventilation of premises, and a two-hour limit.
The 12th Congregation Ceremonies of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, to award degrees and diploma certificates to persons who have successfully completed their programmes of study in the 2019/2020 academic year will now be held on campus for all graduands as follows:

Registration for the Congregation
Graduands who have successfully completed their programmes of study during the 2019/2020 academic year in the afore-mentioned Faculties and Schools and wish to be presented during the September, 2020 Congregation are required to be cleared of all financial obligations to the University prior to registration for the Congregation.
A non-refundable fee of GH¢330.00 is required to be paid at any branch of Access Bank Ltd. After payment of the fee, graduands must log onto https://www.interpayafrica.com/upsa/student to disburse the payment.
After having paid and disbursed the graduation fee, graduands who wish to participate in the Congregation should log into their USIS student portal and click on the “Register for Graduation” tab to register for the graduation ceremony. Graduands registered for the 12th Congregation are expected to be seated by 8 a.m. on the date of their Congregation Ceremony.
Note: Only graduands who have paid their graduation fee and have been cleared of all financial obligations will be issued with graduation gowns, souvenirs, a free copy of their transcript, and have their certificates released to them. Closing date for registration is Monday, 31st August, 2020.

The list of graduands will be available on the University’s website (www.upsa.edu.gh). The Congregation Brochure will also be available on the UPSA website.
Collection and Return of Academic Gowns
Use your proof of registration and the interpay disbursement print-out to collect the academic gowns. Collection of academic gowns will begin from Monday, 24th August, 2020 and end at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 1st September, 2020.
Graduands MUST wear face masks for the collection of academic gowns.
Graduands are requested to return the academic gowns on or before by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 7thSeptember, 2020. Failure to do so will attract a penalty of GH¢50.00 per day.
Attire
Those to be presented will be expected to be seated at the Auditorium by 8:00 a.m. on the various days in the appropriate academic gown worn over suit/jacket with UPSA neck tie or scarf in the case of ladies. Only graduands who are wearing masks will be admitted into the Auditorium.
In order to adhere to the physical distancing protocols, ONLY graduands will be allowed entry onto the campus on the days of the Congregations. We are sorry to inform parents, guardians and well-wishers that due to the strict adherence to physical distancing protocols, the University is unable to accommodate them on campus on the days of the Congregations.
As a reminder, graduands MUST wear face masks in order to be admitted into the auditorium as well as at all times while on campus premises.
