The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has organized an orientation for fifteen (15) National Service personnel (NSP) of the 2020/2021 batch posted to the institution.

The event took place on the 14th of September, 2020 at the conference room of the Ghana Education Service, Headquarters. In attendance was the Director for the Human Resource Division, Mrs Adjoa van Vicker, Mrs Adwoa Osaebea Oduro-Konadu, the Director for Administration and the Head of the Staff Development Unit, Mrs Victoria Amonoo-Assane.

Speaking on behalf of the Director-General. Mrs Adjoa van Vicker welcomed and introduced the personnel to the Service. In her welcoming address, she encouraged the personnel to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their skills and learn new skills.

She reminded them that they have transitioned from the world of school to the world of work and said there are different rules for this new stage in their lives.

She enumerated some best practices on work ethics and advised them to make the most out of their national service period, as it goes a long way to shape their careers.

Mrs Adwoa Osaebea Oduro-Konadu encouraged the Service Personnel to help reach the target of the Service and be able to be creative and try as much as possible to work with their superiors regardless of the Leadership style.

The Staff Development Unit took the NSP to the various offices to introduce them to staff and for them to familiarize themselves with the job schedule.
