Ghana’s Education Service (GES) in collaboration with an award-winning NGO, Lively Minds has launched a radio programme to educate parents and babysitters who look after children in various schools and homes.
The Ghana Education Service in a video sighted by Georgeweb.org indicated some of its officials will from November 5, 2020, broadcast the show on various radio stations in 17 Ghanaian languages in some selected 8 regions.
The Education Minister, NAPO speaking at the virtual launch of the Lively Minds held Tamale said the decision to broadcast the programme in 17 Ghanaian languages is to reach a wider audience in many communities.
“As the Minister of Education, I am committed to ensuring that all children are provided with the opportunity for learning”.
The soon to begin radio show is to educate caregivers and parents on the best way to train their wards and how to talk to them in a friendly manner.
Lively Minds works to ensure that children in highly deprived communities in Ghana receive a quality education and care in their early childhood.
