GES holds orientation workshop for 205 newly appointed directors
A 5-Day orientation workshop has been organized for at least 205 potential newly appointed district directors by the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) at the Noda Hotel, Fumesua, Ashanti Region.
The orientation workshop that started on Monday 29 November 2020 is expected to end successfully on Friday 4 December 2020.
These newly promoted Directors II after the workshop are expected to occupy vacant positions in the Service at the District and Regional Education Offices and at the headquarters, Accra, when needed.
Management members led by the Director General, Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, Deputy Director General, Mr Anthony Boateng; Esq, (Management Services), Dr. Kwabena B. Tandoh, (Access and Quality), Mrs Adjoa van Vicker (Dir, HRMD) Mrs Patty Assan, Schools and Instructions), Rev. Dr. Christian Koramoah, (Financial Controller), Mrs Bernice Addae, Special Education) among other Divisional Directors took turns to make presentations to the participants.

The presentations centred on management processes and procedures in the Service and also on some of the institutional reforms being embarked by the service and supervisory responsibilities as Directors of Education.
