Africa Education Watch donates maths set, face masks to BECE candidates

An Education Policy Research and Advocacy Organization has presented 100 pieces of mathematical sets, face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers, to prospective final year JHS students in the Yilo Krobo District.
The beneficiary Junior High School (JHSs) were Salvation Army and Dokuyo LA School, in Adjikpo, all in the Yilo Krobo District.
The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has scheduled to conduct this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) from on September 14 and end September 18, 2020.
The Africa Education Watch, following the upcoming BECE for School Candidates, has presented 100 pieces of mathematical sets, face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers to prevent them from contracting the virus in the course of the one-week examination.
The schools receiving the donation appealed to the Executive Director of the Africa Education Watch, Mr Kofi Asare to help them acquire a computer to facilitate the teaching of ICT since they have never had one.
“We wish them well in the upcoming exam, especially in the ICT which they learnt on the blackboard, while their counterparts in Accra did same with computers”, the Watch noted.
