Withheld WASSCE results: WAEC reveals new form of examination malpractice
The organizers of this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) says all candidates who wrote their telephone number’s on their answer booklet engaged in examination malpractice.
A staff of the West African Examinations Council in an interview monitored by Georgeweb.org said candidate’s who added their contact numbers for Examiners to contact them had plans to do evil or commit a crime.
The official, however, noted candidates who solicited for help from Examiners but did not add their contact numbers on the examination answer booklet did not engage in any examination malpractice.

According to the Examinations Council, the Ghana Exams Committee has given them the go-ahead to cancel the results of all prospective candidates after it confirms engaged in examination malpractice.
