The Management of Ghana’s premier University has announced to begin the 2020/2021 academic year online for all students amid the presence of the locally transmitted coronavirus that has claimed at least 285 lives.
The Management in its proposal for the re-opening of the University of Ghana (UG) indicated teaching and learning will be during the 2020/2021 academic year modular mode of instruction regular and undergraduate students.
It said the University’s SAKAI Learning Management System will be central in on-line teaching and that training is being organized for lecturers.
“Teaching will be delivered primarily on-online, with practical and clinical courses delivered face to face, while observing the required COVID-19 safety and prevention protocols”, the University said in the statement.
“The SAKAI learning management system will be central in the online teaching; training for Lectures is being organized, in this regard”, it added.
