The management of the University of Ghana (UG) has announced to hold it’s maiden virtual graduation ceremony on July 30, 2020, amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus that has halted many academic activities globally.
Final year undergraduate students of the School of Law and student who sat for the supplementary examinations at the University of Ghana Schools of Medicine and Dentistry are batches expected to be graduated.
The University of Ghana has scheduled for the virtual ceremony to begin at 10.00 a.m on July 30 and afterwards publish the full event on YouTube for viewers.
The management’s decision to award certificates virtually to prospective graduands for them to further their professional training in August, 2020 is amid the fast spreading of the novel coronavirus and the Presidential directives on gatherings.
The University of Ghana (UG) on its official website said the forthcoming virtual congregation will be a good opportunity for the University to test run the idea of a virtual graduation, for small groups of graduating students
