Amnesty has been granted to undergraduate students of the University of Ghana yet to graduate from the University since 2000/2001 academic year over failed courses, the Academic Affairs Directorate of UG has announced.
The Legon, Academic Affairs Directorate in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org said this is to give such students the opportunity to graduate.
“This dispensation is an opportunity for all affected students to satisfy the necessary requirements to enable them to graduate”, it said in the release.
The University further indicated the amnesty covers only failed courses starting 2000/2001 academic year.
It added that the roll-out of the amnesty is for a period of three years (i.e. from the 2021/2022 to the 2023/24 academic years.
The Directorate, however, said it will at the appropriate time communicate the time frame for implementation to students and the general public.
