The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service says the final year student identified as Nicholas Cobinnah who savagely insulted President Akufo-Addo in a video is notorious and has a violent history in the school.
According to Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa, the Sekondi College’s very own Nicholas Cobinnah has engaged in many offences, adding that “this is not his first time breaching school rules”.
Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM monitored by GeorgeWeb, the Director-General said notorious Nicholas Cobinnah in February this year beat a form 2 student to pulp and knocked out 6 of his teeth.
He said the police prepared a docket for court proceedings when the matter was reported to them but Nicholas parents after petitioning the victim’s parents agreed to fix the teeth as they settle the case at home.
Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa furthered that, few weeks after school reopening before coronavirus pandemic, Nicholas Cobinnah headbutted a fellow student and was suspended for the act but returned following Akufo-Addo’s directive for schools to be reopened to final year SHS students.
