The Director-General of the Health Service speaking to journalists at a press briefing on September 3, 2020, indicated that schools that have positive cases of the virus will be made to undergo some assessment of contacts.
This he said will have such schools exit for prospective students delayed to ensure a safe home return.
Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye, further said for Senior High Schools (SHSs) that have no positive case of the novel coronavirus in the last 14 days prior to their initial vacation date can also go on recess.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) commended the management of various Senior High Schools (SHSs) across the country for their enormous contribution to slow the spread of the disease on campus.
He also urged the prospective students to strictly adhere to the outlined coronavirus safety protocols as they return back to their various homes.
