Register by February 2021 – NaSIA to private school owners
The Management of the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) formally the National Inspectorate Board (NIB) has called on all private school proprietors or owners to register their schools by February 2021
The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org indicated the registration is in line with requirements by the newly passed Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023).
The new Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023) was passed on August 21, 2020 to control the activities of all regulatory bodies under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
Part four of the Act which transitions NIB into NaSIA states in Section 98 Subsection 2 and 3 that “A pre-tertiary education institution established before the coming into force of this Act shall within six months of the coming into force of this Act, register with the Authority.”
Also, “a pre-tertiary education institution established after the coming into force of this Act shall, within six months of its establishment, register with the Authority.”.

The National Inspectorate Board (NIB), based on the new Education Act is consequently urging all private school (Pre-tertiary Institutions) owners to register with the Inspectorate Board (NIB) now NaSIA) by February 2021.
