National Service personnel who have been posted to educational institutions in the country are to hold on with registration and validation until school reopens on January 2021, the Management of NSS has directed.
The Scheme’s decision for some personnel to pause their registration and validation follows President Akufo-Addo announcement to reopen schools in the country next year January.
His Excellency Akufo-Addo on behalf of the Ghana Education Service (GES) also announced the postponement of the 2019/2020 academic year for basic schools and first-year students in Junior and Senior High Schools to 2021.
The 2020/2021 national service period according to the Management of the National Service Scheme begins Monday, September 7, 2020, for all prospective personnel who were not posted to educational institutions.
Prospective personnel are requested to check their placement before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.
The Scheme in a statement copied to Georeweb.org indicated that registration and validation of national service personnel would commence from Thursday, September 3, 2020, at all centres across the country.
