Pentecost University unveils new logo, explain meaning of colours

The Pentecost University (PentVars) has finally unveiled a new logo after it earlier announced to modify the previous name and logo of the university to reflect the new vision and independent status of the university.
The Accra-based University on June 1, 2020, following a Presidential Charter was approved to operate as a fully-fledged university in the country.
The univeristy committee after further consultations with its relevant stakeholders has come out with an eye-catching logo as the chairman of the committee assured in it in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org.
“I can assure that the new logo will excite gravitate students and staff toward the aspirations of the new University,” Ign. Owura Sarfo stated.
Explaining the meaning of the colours of the new logo on social media, the Sowutuom-based private university said;
Gold: Biblically the colour stands for glory, divinity, kingship holiness, majesty, purity and righteousness and in the secular realm it represents illumination, love, courage, passion and wisdom. in respect of the university’ values, it would stand for Godliness and agility.
Blue: this Biblically this signifies the presence of God as the sky is blue. It also signifies the word of God and the healing of God and In the secular realm, it represents loyalty, sincerity, confidence, heaven and intelligence. Regarding the University’s values, it would stand for Integrity and Excellence
White: White, an inherently positive colour, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination,
understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection.

Black: This is the colour of Power, Sophistication, Authority and Dominance. Regarding the University’s values, it would stand for Diversity. Though not part of the logo colours, this will be used as a secondary colour in designing.
