Pentecost University to change its name and logo

The Management of the Pentecost University (PentVars) says it will in the coming months change the previous name and logo of the University as it receives Presidential Charter to operate as a fully-fledged university.
The Accra-based private university which on June 1, 2020, was approved to operate fully as other universities in the country is set to modify its name and logo to reflect the new vision and independent status of the University.
The University in a blog post on its website sighted by Georgeweb.org said it has set up a Branding Committee to drive changes that will mirror its new phase.
According to PentVars it will after the broad consultations communicate the changes which includes name and logo to staff, students and other relevant stakeholders of the university.
The Chairman of the Committee, Ign. Owura Sarfo explained that even though the logo and colours are suitable for the Bible school that forms the foundation for the University but as it operates as a full university needs to get a new name and logo that projects the academic scholarship as well.
According to Ign. Owura Sarfo, the Committee has consulted broadly and selected a logo, emblems and colours that will excite all stakeholders. “I can assure that the new logo will excite everyone and gravitate students and staff toward the aspirations of the new University,” he stated.
