NUGS commends NPP for tuition-free tertiary education promise
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has commended the President and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo for his tuition-free tertiary education promise in 2021.
The Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) commendation follows a new policy announced by the Scholarship Secretariat today December 1 to provide free tuition to eligible students in private and public tertiary institutions.
It in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org said “NUGS further notes that this new policy adds to a policy previously rolled out by the government which permits applicants for student loans at the tertiary level with no guarantor”.
According to the Union, it is satisfied, confident the Nana Akufo-Addo led the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in terms of Education will roll out policies which are well informed and largely well implemented.

The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) further thanked the Minister in charge of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and all persons contributing to improving the country’s education in this 21st century.
