NSS joins Green Ghana Project to plant 5 million trees today

The Management of the Ghana National Service Scheme has joined the Green Ghana Project, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to plant 5 million trees on June 11.

The deputy executive director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) in Finance and Administration, Gifty Oware-Aboagye announced the Scheme’s participation in a social media post sighted by Georgeweb.org “The last man dies when the last tree dies. Plant a tree today and save a life,” she declared.

The Lands Minister on behalf of his outfit has urged all prospective students in the country to participate in the forthcoming national event to plant a targeted 5 million and over trees across the country.

Georgeweb.org reported that The Kumasi-based Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has joined the Green Ghana Project, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to plant 5 million trees on June 11.
