2020/2021 National Service year begins September 7

The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has scheduled for the 2020/2021 national service year to commence from September 7, 2020, for all personnel except those posted to educational institutions.

The Scheme in a statement announcing the release of 86,478 postings indicated National Service personnel who have been posted to various educational institutions in the country are to hold on with registration and validation until school reopens in January 2021.

It said personnel are to log onto its website nss.gov.gh to check their placement and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.

According to the National Service Scheme, registration and validation of service personnel would begin from Thursday, September 3, 2020, at all centres across the country.

The Scheme stated that the 2020/2021 national service year will officially commence on Monday, September 7, 2020, for all service personnel who are not posted to educational institutions.

Prospective personnel are urged to accept their placement and consider it as part of contributions towards the socio-economic development of the Republic of Ghana.
