As the global pandemic shows no sign of ending anytime soon, the Kenya Ministry of Education has announced for all primary and secondary schools to reopen 2021.
According to the Education Ministry, all students would in the next academic year resume studies in their current classes.
The Minister for Education in Kenya, George Magoha in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org said no final year national examination would be conducted for primary and secondary pupils this year amid the pandemic.
Those examinations are usually conducted in October and November each year for primary and secondary pupils just like BECE and WASSCE.
George Magoha however indicated that students colleges and universities will prepare to resume school in September 2020 with strict guidelines.
President Uhuru Kenyatta in March this year directed for the closure of all schools across the country after the first case of coronavirus was recorded.
