Hong Kong to close all schools amid spike in COVID-19 cases
Hong Kong’s Education Bureau on Friday following the fast spreading of the global coronavirus pandemic has announced for the closure of all schools effective Monday, July 13, 2020, CNBC has reported.
The Health authorities reported that 42 new cases were recorded on Thursday, of which 34 were locally transmitted, marking the second consecutive day of rising local infections.
According to Education Secretary Kevin Yeung, some of the recent cases involved students and parents.
