The Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) is now a fully-fledged public University and shall be known as Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTUC), the Management of the University has announced.
According to the Management of the GTUC, the Ghana Communication Technology University Bill 2020 has been assented to by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
That means President Akufo-Addo’s approval automatically qualifies the Ghana Communication Technology University (GTUC) which will soon be renamed as Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTUC) to be a public University.
The University following the approval has expressed their profound gratitude to the Almighty God, President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his team.
Also to the Minister for Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and her team, All Members of Parliament and friends of GTUC for the unwavering support towards the achievement of this historic milestone for the institution.
The Management says it will at the appropriate time announced the date for the transitional ceremony to members of the general public, adding that “you will all be invited”.
