According to him, the Pasco was procured as part of the government effort to help the final year SHS students prepare adequately for the WASSCE for School examination conducted by the West African Examinations Council.
Commeting on the source of funding for the materails, he said “these questions was funded through the Free SHS account and the results of the 2020 WASSCE was tremendous compared to previous years’ WASSCE performance.
He further stated that the procurement of this year’s past questions and answers would just like last year would also be soley funded from the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) account.
“For students in deprived schools, giving them access to previous examinations’ questions and answers and examiners reports is good intervention,” the Bosomtwe Member of Parliament added.
But, the Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament, Dr Clement Apaak has asked why the government will this year pay GH₵78 per unit for a past question it paid GH₵59 per unit only a year ago.
