Some SHS 2 Gold track students to vacate July 31
Form 2 Gold track students in Senior High Schools (SHSs) with no COVID-19 recorded cases will be allowed to go home on Friday, July 31, 2020, a joint statement by the Ghana Education and Health Service has said.
However, students on the second year Gold track of Senior high Schools (SHSs) that have COVID-19 positive cases will have their vacation delayed for assessment and observation before they can be allowed to go home.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye speaking at the bi-weekly press update by the Information Ministry Thursday, July 30 monitored by Georgeweb.org said; “Senior High Schools that have not recorded any COVID-19 case can vacate and go”
“The second category is for schools that have had a case. I think in the last two weeks, there have been no case. I advise that they can also vacate and go home”,
“The assessment will be done to identify those who are contacts and if any of them is in that class, their vacation will be delayed while we do an assessment and observation after which they will be asked to go home.”
