The Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has opened the portal for the academic registration of students for the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, Universe News has reported.
According to GIJ, continuing students are expected to pay at least 60% of their academic user as well as Students Representative Council (SRC) or GRASAG dues before they can register their first semester courses.
First-year students are however required to pay make full payment of the academic fees before they can register
The GIJ Management has also scheduled October 9, 2020, as the deadline for a regular period of registration.
The Institute has indicated to commence the academic year online to slow and curb the spread of the locally transmitted coronavirus, even though it is yet to release a provisional calendar for the academic year.
Prospective students will this time pay more as academic fees as the management of the Institute has increased the fees by at least 5%.
