The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has admonished persons associated with the conduct of this years WASSCE for School candidates to ensure there no reports of examination malpractices.
The Service in a statement copied to Georgeweb.org specifically urged Regional/District Directors, Supervisors and Invigilators to take extra precautionary measures to avoid cases of examinations malpractice.
It equally entreated prospective candidates sitting for the examination to be extra careful of activities such as cheating and others which will have the potential of undermining the integrity of the examinations.
Following August 1, 2020, reports that the 2020 WASSCE Integrated Science question papers have leaked, the Education Service has advised all invigilators to desist from taking shots of the questions in the examination hall and circulating them on various social media platforms to create impressions that the examination questions had leaked already.
According to the Ghana Education Service (GES), any reported cases of such activity will be thoroughly investigated and all those found culprits will be made to face the full rigours of the law.
It further encouraged candidates to prepare adequately and do independent work and depend on their individual abilities at the examination hall.
Commenting of cancellation of some or entire subjects papers, the Service advised candidates to be mindful of their behaviour in the examination hall and towards supervisors and invigilators.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) stated that implications of misconduct during the examinations could lead to suspension and/or cancellation of results which will have a negative impact on their future prospects.
The Management said it solidly stands by all persons associated with the conduct of the national examination, urging them to work together to protect the integrity of the examinations.
