The Agency responsible for Pre-Tertiary Education (GES), says it will after the recruitment of graduates from various Universities this year recruit others to replace current staff who are retiring out of the service.
The Deputy Director-General for Quality and Access of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh disclosed this in an interview with Daniel Dadzie on Joy Prime monitored by Georgeweb.org.
Mr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh indicated his outfit has been granted a small financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to recruit graduates to replace staff retiring out of the service this year.
“After the recruitment of university graduates, we have a small financial clearance for replacement in terms of people who are retiring out of the service”, the GES official told host of beyond the Headlines, Daniel Dadzie.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh earlier Thursday, October 29, 2020, announced that the recruitment of graduates from various universities will commence on Monday, November 2, 2020.
The Finance Ministry’s financial clearance demands that only newly trained teachers who had completed the one-year compulsory National Service and passed the teacher licensure examination are recruited into service.
