GES bared and interdicts 3 SHS teachers over misconduct in WASSCE
The Ghana Education Service (GES) in a statement signed the Director-General, Prof. Kwasi-Opoku Amankaw has bared and interdicted 3 Senior High School (SHS) teachers for their indiscipline act during the conduct of the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to the Service, the 3 interdicted SHS teachers who have also been bared from invigilating any of WAEC’s examination allegedly played a role in students misconduct and protest resulting to destruction of property and some invigilators injured.
The bared teachers are; Thomas Anokye of Tweneboa Koclua Senior High School, Joseph Andoh of Sekondi College and Evans Yeboah of Kade Senior High Technical School. They have also been reported to the security agencies for further investigations.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) following the relocation of examination centre at the Bright Senior High School (SHS) in Kukurantumi to Ofari Panin Senior High School (SHS) due to a recent attack on examination officials has welcome the students of the school.
It, however, advised them to comport themselves and abide by the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the examination, adding that any acts of indiscipline will not be countenanced.
