The Ghana Education Service (GES) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MoE) has bared and dismissed some 13 final year students from partaking the ongoing WASSCE due to their misconduct and indiscipline act.
The Education Service decision follows reports from various schools with issues of indiscipline act since the conduct of the Integrated Science Paper on Monday, August 3, 2020.
A statement signed by the Director-General, Prof. Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa copied to GeorgeWeb to serve deterrence and ensure life and property are protected has dismissed and bared 13 students from sitting the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
A. Nicholas Cobbinah, Kadimel Suapim, and John Kwofie all of Sekondi College.
B. Simon Ameyibor, who is the Senior Prefect, and Miss Juliet Amoakowaa all of the Kumasi-based Tweneboa koduah Senior High School (SHS).
C. Emmanuel Ashlangmor, Peter Sissi, Ameka Nyamilse, Shadrack Daltey and Alfred Affiso of Battor Senior High School (SHS).
According to Ghana Education Service (GES), the above-mentioned students are to leave the school premises with immediate effect.
The Service said students in schools where destruction of school property occurred are to be surcharged to the full cost of the damage. It said results of such candidates will be withheld till they have fully paid up the full cost of the items destroyed.
