GES releases ‘delayed’ 2020 BECE school placement

Ghana’s Education Service (GES) has finally released the much-awaited 2020 BECE school placement of candidates who sat for the 2020 edition of the BECE for School and Private examination at the CSSPS websites.

The release comes after GES Director-General, Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa in an interview with UTV monitored by Educationweb.com.gh announced the BECE school placement will be out Sunday, February 28, 2021.

“We can assure parents, candidates and members of the general public that the 2020 BECE school placement will be released on Sunday, February 28, 2021,” the GES official told the host of UTV Mpu ne Mpu show, Yaa Konama.

According to GES, 494,530 out of the 533,693 candidates who sat for the BECE qualified for SHS placement with 343,264 been automatically place and 151,266 directed to do self-placement at the CSSPS placement module.

Candidates and the general public are urged to report SHS placement related issues to the GES call centre via 0900 800 700 or 030 298 7654.

How to check your 2020 BECE SHS placement

Educationweb.com.gh recommends candidates to check their BECE SHS placement with an internet-connected computer or at the internet cafe.

1. Visit any of the CSSPS website cssps.org or cssps.gov.gh

2. Purchase an E-voucher with Mobile Money (Purchasing the Voucher card at the CSSPS website will save you from fraudsters and scammers).

3. Click on check placement

4. Enter your Index number and E-voucher Pin (At this stage enter your BECE Index number and add 20, Eg 100000000020 and your 12 digit voucher pin).

5. Click on submit and wait for a new window to display your placement.

  1. Do you people think everybody have money like you do have to buy all our needs when the school placement is late?

  2. So what about the messages Waec sent to various agent (i.e internet cafe) that the placement is to be released from 24th Feb. 2021.
