A student has asked that “does the West African Examinations Council issue certificate to candidates after the conduct of WASSCE for Private popularly known as Nov/Dec?. Yes, it does, but here is what you need to know.
Just like the WASSCE for School Candidates, the WASSCE for Private candidates (Nov/Dec) is another type of WAEC examination but mainly for students who failed the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
The non-profit-making organization will this year conduct the examination for private candidates, but, unfortunately, it has not yet released the official timetable for the administration of the private examination.
According to the Council, results of prospective candidates who sat for the Nov/Dec examination are released in December online at its website www.waecgh.org for candidates to check with a result scratch card.
Does WAEC issue certificate for Nov/Dec?
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in a blog post on its website indicated certificates are issued to individual candidates upon request. It said candidates are to request for their it online at waecgh.org.
However, prospective candidates are to note that the Examinations Council produce the certificates once, and so certificates which get lost or damaged after collection are not replaced.
The Council recommends individual candidates who lose their certificates to request for attestation of their results. The results attestation is similar and serve the same purpose of the original certificates.
