The non-profit-making organization (WAEC) has reportedly accepted the fact that the 2020 Basic Education Certificate (BECE) Mathematics questions which were administered Thursday, September 17, 2020, leaked.
According to the spokeswoman for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the Mathematics questions before 9:00 am today were all over social media and other mediums, a situation she said took WAEC to shock.
Madam Agnes Teye Cudjoe speaking to Bonohene Baffour Awuah on Kasapa News monitored by Georgeweb.org disclosed the Council have handed some supervisors who allegedly snap question papers with mobile phones to the police for further investigation.
The Public Relations Officer further revealed that WAEC officials at Obuasi yesterday arrested some teachers who according to her had collected GHC2.00 and GHC1.00 from students in exchange of help during the exams.
The 30th edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which commenced on Monday September 14, 2020 will end Friday September 18, 2020 at the 2,007 centres across the country.
